Image metrics has been a great client over the years. When they called me about working on the ROCKBAND2 trailer I got real excited.

Unfortunately the assets were pre-built once they got to me. I was disappointed not because the assets were bad. No they were cool. I just would have loved to have built them ^___^ So the task that was on my table, was facial on this one.

I had a great time forging the facial blend shapes for the lead singers. To be fair the bald singer is where I spent most of my time, only making adjustments and a few additional complementary shapes to the other. Each character had 50 plus blend shapes.

ZBrush is always thought of a character package, but believe me it is so much more. Whether it is creating environments or in this case blend shapes.

The really cool part about this show was the singer / actor . This guy had the most expressive, elastic face I have ever seen. He could contort his face into the oddest extreme positions. Check out the images below for some examples.
