Andrew Crawse is an ILM veteran heavyweight. He has parlayed all of  his years as a modeling supervisor into a company aimed at helping the artist.

AnatomyTools.com is a hub of excellence, with materials ranging from DVD’s, print to Ecorche models for the discerning artist.

.

Andrew’s, “Anatomy Male,” figure and now,” Anatomy Female,” figure, have become regular staples on the bench of working professionals.

So much so that it has now even becoming an amusing game of sightings. With regular updates on the website dedicated to sightings of the figures spotted in feature films and television shows.

.

With all that said is all the hype really worth it?

.

You better believe it is!

.

Coming in at $425 US for the top of the line, Anatomy Male VER 3 and $219 US for VER 1, these figures go beyond the need of the artist.

.

No longer do you need to stand over an autopsied body as the masters of old. Nor do you have to suffer from absence of mass syndrome pouring through anatomy text and drawings attempting to understand the never ending complexities.

.

These ecorche sculptures often take Andrew months to accurately produce. These are not toys, they are serious instruments of anatomical learning and should be in the toolbox of every serious artist.

.

In order to become a viable commodity in the art world, knowing anatomy is no longer a luxury, it is a necessity. Everything we do begins and ends with anatomy. First you must learn anatomy, then you can forget it and become abstract.

.

As my teacher once said to me the great thing about anatomy is that you only need to learn half of it. That’s true and these figures make that learning curve even easier.

.

If you’ve never dropped by AnatomyTools.com I highly recommend it, as it is becoming a steadfast for the anatomy hungry artist.
